BACKFLOW TESTING
The city of Vancouver requires property owners to have any backflow assemblies on their property tested by a certified backflow tester annually.
At Rotor Plumbers and Drainage Ltd., we provide a variety of backflow services, including backflow testing, repair, installation, and replacement.
BACKFLOW PREVENTION ASSEMBLY TESTING
The city of Vancouver requires annual testing of backflow prevention assemblies to ensure the water is safe to drink or to utilize in food service preparation. Our experienced technicians will test your backflow prevention to assembly to ensure it meets the specifications. Once tested and all the documentation required by the city has been submitted to BSI online, no further action is required for the year. Should your assembly not meet the specifications, your assembly will need to be repaired or replaced.
BACKFLOW PREVENTION ASSEMBLY REPAIR
Backflow prevention assemblies have internal components that open and close, allowing water to flow in one direction. This ensures that the water supply stays safe from contaminants. Like everything else, over time the Backflow assemblies’ internal workings tend to deteriorate and eventually will need to be repaired or replaced. If your backflow device has incurred damage, it will no longer work properly and will fail the testing. At Rotor Plumbers and Drainage, our technicians are well versed in testing, diagnosing the issue and then recommending the most cost-effective means to rectify the situation.
BACKFLOW PREVENTION ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT
In some instances, we find that due to extensive rust and corrosion, that the backflow assembly, unfortunately, is not repairable. In this scenario, we would have to install a new backflow prevention assembly. Rotor Plumbing and Drainage would ensure that the newly installed assembly would meet any new regulations to ensure compliance with new laws or mandates in the lower mainland.
